I’ve started cooking with wine. That sounds so fancy, cooking with wine. What I do is, I get drunk and I make rice. I tell my friends ‘come over, I’m cooking with wine.’  They come over, I’m drunk, and there’s rice everywhere.

But seriously …

Its really just  a proverbial expression that highlights the therapeutic effects of laughter on both mental and physical well-being. Here are a few reasons why this phrase has gained popularity:

Physical Health Benefits: Laughter triggers the release of endorphins, the body’s natural feel-good chemicals. It can also stimulate circulation and aid in muscle relaxation, which can reduce physical tension and stress.

Mental Health Benefits: Laughter can reduce stress, anxiety, and depression by decreasing the production of stress hormones like cortisol and increasing the production of neurotransmitters that promote feelings of happiness and relaxation.

Humor as Coping Mechanism: In difficult or challenging situations, humor and laughter can serve as coping mechanisms, helping individuals to reframe their perspective, find resilience, and maintain a more positive outlook.
